How to Begin Your Astral Travel With the Correct Relaxation Technique

This could be because they are following a relaxation technique that doesn’t suit them. Or they could be trying to relax while lying down. Many people fall asleep as soon as they lie down. And if you fall asleep, you will not be able to begin your astral travel consciously; you will be doing it unconsciously.

Here is a simple relaxation technique that will help you begin your astral travel.

1. Relax your facial muscles completely. Focus on your face, and you will immediately realize how tense your facial muscles are. Gently tell these muscles to let go of all the stress and tension; and they will relax immediately.

2. Shift your focus to your neck muscles and repeat the same procedure. Continue shifting your focus down your body in this manner and relax the muscles of your shoulders, arms, chest, abdomen, pelvic region, thighs, feet, and toes. Do this once or twice till all your muscles are completely relaxed.

3. Focus on your breathing pattern. Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose, retain the breath for a few counts, and exhale through your mouth. Suggest to your body that every time you exhale, it will sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.

This simple 3-step relaxation technique should help you relax and prepare you to begin your astral travel. But, if it still doesn’t and you are sure that you are doing it right, maybe you need more practice. Here are some simple tips for you.

1. You need to practice relaxation daily. Even if you have a busy schedule, set aside some time for relaxation everyday and practice hard. The best time is in the morning, when you are wide awake, and haven’t started off with your daily activities yet.

2. Avoid trying to relax when you are sleepy because you will fall asleep instantly. The best time to practice relaxation is when you are completely awake.

3. Choose a technique that suits you. The technique mentioned above is the progressive relaxation technique, which might not suit your individual temperament. Perhaps relaxation tapes, music, or binaural beats might suit you better. Just find something that will work for you and use it. There are innumerable relaxation techniques out there.

4. Before beginning your relaxation technique, ensure that you are in a quiet and calm place. Sit in a comfortable position. Your spine should be erect so that you don’t fall asleep. Concentrate on a word, phrase, or object before beginning. Don’t get tensed about relaxing. Simply observe yourself objectively; and soon you will be able to begin your astral travel.
